I am an artist living in Northwestern Oregon. I create three-dimensional art using clay as my primary medium.
My art is a direct, immediate expression of my experiences and state of mind. Personal transitions, friendships, snowstorms and politics have all served as inspiration for my work. I like to create objects which convey emotion and encourage the viewer to explore his or her own feelings. My work is meant to be touched as well as seen.
I enjoy working with new techniques and pushing the boundaries of traditional processes. I am currently exploring alternative methods for building large-scale ceramic pieces. I am also exploring new possibilities for post-firing decoration.
My studio at Sequoia Gallery + Studios is open to the public several hours each week. If you would like to come by to visit and see my work, please contact me for an appointment. |
